A new look for changing times Posted 2009, 24 February I talk often about the need for flexibility and creativity to adjust to the fast changing and challenging economic conditions. In tougher times, it is crucial for achieving winning solutions. Well, there is nothing like practicing what you preach! After some in-depth reflection and listening to what people currently need, it was clear we had an opportunity to adjust our service offering. As a result, Parallel Directions has just relaunched its website with a new look and a new range of services. Check it out now at www.ParallelDirections.co.nz When businesses are keeping a tight reign on costs, the services they outsource need to be very specific in what they deliver. They need to support those in the workplace to be more effective, rather than carrying out all work offsite. It has always been Parallel Directions’ mission to work alongside clients, to empower them to better results. In fact that was the reasoning behind our name, to work “in parallel” with clients. So we’ve refined some services and added a few new ones. We now offer eight categories of property services: Strategic Property Planning Property Acquisitions Lease Negotiations Project Management Relocations Lease Administration Property Consulting Property Disposals You’ll find descriptive icons with more information about each of the services within those eight categories on the site, and we are happy to discuss any of them with you. Our aim is to offer targeted property solutions. My approach to business this year is all about getting to the nub of what clients need, striking a balance between no-frills and quality. I think it requires listening more carefully to what a business needs, not approaching everything from a distant one-size-fits-all philosophy, or at the other end of the spectrum an expensive value-add customised approach. Targeted expert solutions from people with solid experience are going to be worth their weight in gold. I’m excited about our new direction, and think it fits the bill spot on. Let me know what you think of the website and if our new range of services strike a chord with you and what you are observing in the market.
